Made with purpose
Our garments begin with exceptional Peruvian alpaca fiber and the knowledge of skilled makers. Working in considered quantities allows us to value their time, protect the character of handwork, and create pieces designed to be worn, loved, and passed on.
What guides us
Alpaca is a durable, naturally insulating fiber. Its warmth, softness, and long life help us create fewer, better garments made for repeated wear.
Our story is rooted in Peru, where alpaca fiber and textile knowledge have been part of Andean life for generations.
We place people at the center of production, recognizing the skill, care, and time contributed by every artisan behind an INTARI piece.
Hand-finishing brings individuality to every garment. We value precise construction, tactile detail, and quality that can be felt immediately.
INTARI translates Peruvian fiber and craftsmanship into contemporary knitwear created for boutiques, buyers, and families around the world.
Conscious production
Conscious production means respecting the rhythm of skilled work. Rather than separating design from making, we keep the human hand visible—from the first stitches to the final details.
Every piece carries subtle variations that belong to handmade craft. They are not imperfections; they are evidence of the person, place, and process behind the garment.
Puno · Southern Peru
Puno lies in southeastern Peru, on the Andean Altiplano and beside Lake Titicaca. At high altitude, open grasslands and intense shifts in temperature form the natural environment in which alpacas thrive.
This geography is essential to our story. It connects the fiber, the animals, and the communities whose knowledge gives Peruvian alpaca its meaning.
THE ALTIPLANO
The source of the fiber
Adapted to altitude and changing weather, alpacas graze across the highlands in social herds. Their remarkable fiber offers warmth without unnecessary weight—nature’s own response to the Andean climate.
